Τα Critics Choice μπορεί να μην θεωρούνται καθ’ οιονδήποτε τρόπο προπομπός των Όσκαρ, όμως είναι τέτοια η κατάσταση φέτος που μπορεί να καταλήγουν να τα προλέγουν. Κανείς δεν μπορεί να πει ότι κάποιο από τα βασικά Όσκαρ πήγε κάπου που είναι αδύνατον να καταλήξει η οσκαρική βράβευση. Εμείς μπορεί να έχουμε τον πόνο μας με τον Γιώργο Λάνθιμο και το «Poor Things» (η Έμα Στόουν κέρδισε πάντως εδώ), αλλά.
Το «Oppenheimer» λοιπόν τη στιγμή αυτή είναι καβάλα στο κύμα του και κέρδισε χθες βράδυ 8 βραβεία, Ταινία, Σκηνοθεσία, Υποστηρικτικός Ανδρικός, Ερμηνευτικό Επιτελείο, Φωτογραφία, Σκορ, Μοντάζ, Οπτικά Εφφέ. Ότι μεγάλο έχασε, πλην Γυναικείας Ερμηνείας, το έχασε από την «Barbie», που κατέφθασε με 18 (!) υποψηφιότητες στο Υπόστεγο Μπάρκερ στο Αεροδρόμιο της Σάντα Μόνικα, όπου έλαβε χώρα η γιορτή. Η ταινία της Γκέργουιγκ κέρδισε το Πρωτότυπο Σενάριο, την Σκηνογραφία, τα Κοστούμια, τις Κομμώσεις/Μέικ Απ, την Κωμωδία και το Τραγούδι με το «I’m Just Ken». Το Διασκευασμένο Σενάριο πήγε σε μια ταινία που για ένα διάστημα παίζαμε σαν εκπαιδευμενο outsider, το «American Fiction», καθώς φαίνεται η «ζημιά» που μπορεί να κάνει ίσως είναι στην κατηγορία αυτή. Κι έτσι πάντως κάτι Νόλαν, κάι Σκορσέζε, κάτι Μακναμάρα («Poor Things») μπορεί να μείνουν εκτός νυμφώνος.
Ευχάριστη, αλλά πολύ, η βράβευση του «The Holdovers» σε τρεις ερμηνευτικές κατηγορίες, στον Πρώτο Ανδρικό, την Υποστηρικτική Γυναικεία και τον Καλύτερο Νέο Ηθοποιό
Σκορσέζε και Κούπερ έφυγαν με άδεια χέρια, γεγονός μια χαρά πιθανό να επαναληφθεί και στα Όσκαρ, παρότι είμαστε πεντέξι φανς της Κάρεϊ Μάλιγκαν που έχουμε απομείνει, ως εκεί. Είναι τοις πάσι σαφές πάντως το πόσο καλές θα είναι ορισμένες πεντάδες φέτος, αν μη τι άλλο με την έννοια του αξιόμαχου.
Στα της Τηλεόρασης άλλοι μπήκαν με υποψηφιότητες («The Morning Show» και «Succession») και άλλοι έφυγαν με τα βραβεία («Beef» και «The Bear»), που έφυγαν με 4 το καθένα. Το «Succession» πάντως πήρε την Καλύτερη Δραματική Σειρά.
Αυτά, ιδού αναλυτικά όλες οι υποψηφιότητες και οι νικητές, όσο θα περνά ο καιρός τόσο θα αποκρυσταλλώνονται (ή και θα συσκοτίζονται) οι μεγάλοι νικητές της χρονιές – από πλευράς βραβείων πάντα.
